Come One, Come All Makers!

Come one, come all Makers! It’s time for a creation extravaganza here in our very own Soda City. Quickly approaching on April 29th is the 5th Annual Columbia Mini Maker Faire here at Columbia’s pride and joy, EdVenture Children’s Museum. We are looking for Makers of all kinds to come and enrich visiting guests by demonstrating or teaching your passions, hobbies, skills, and crafts showing kids that they can create the world with the right tools. The nation is exploding with enthusiasm towards these Maker Faires as they do the perfect justice of combining a science fair, state fair, and “out there” setting for children to really lose themselves in discovery, exploration, and invention. Kids will spend the entire day navigating the museum and seeking out different booths that challenge their imaginations and peak their interest. You could be the friendly faces behind these booths inspiring children to indulge in their innovative, creative sides.

Here at EdVenture, we want to empower children to be the best versions of themselves and help give them the tools to make those discoveries. But as you know, we can’t do it all on our own, if you would like to be the reason that a child finds their passion or just has a lot of fun, please sign up online to participate! Anything is welcome from demonstrations, performances, presentations, hands-on activities, and more! We welcome any and all involvement from the creative community members that make Columbia the wonderful place that it is today.

To sign up, go to our Makers tab and register through our Google form, it shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes to help inspire a child to make!
